Job Overview

We are seeking an Information Senior Advisory Officer to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on providing expert advice in complex matters.

  • This position will involve coordinating objections for subpoenas issued on the Commissioner of Police, assisting in the progression of legal proceedings before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and providing guidance and advice across InfoLink to ensure appropriate decision making regarding the release of NSWPF information.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with legislation, preferably related to information access, and will be able to make recommendations in relation to policy, procedures, and opportunities to enhance capability across InfoLink and improve compliance with information access legislation including the delivery of training across the Command.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice in complex matters related to information access
  • Coordinate objections for subpoenas issued on the Commissioner of Police
  • Assist in the progression of legal proceedings before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal
  • Provide guidance and advice across InfoLink to ensure appropriate decision making regarding the release of NSWPF information
  • Make recommendations in relation to policy, procedures, and opportunities to enhance capability across InfoLink and improve compliance with information access legislation
