Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to drive forward their career growth and work with a reputable organization.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of trusts, financial statements, taxation returns, BAS, and IAS, and be able to provide complex tax advice to clients.

This role is based in the Inner-Southern suburbs and would suit someone who is a performer and is looking for that next career step towards higher quality work and larger clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements & ITRs for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for mainly SMEs and/or HNWIs
  • Deal with CGT, Div7a, UPE, GST, SBTC, FTE/IEE, and FBT
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required and audit assistance to clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Comply with professional standards and relevant legislation
  • Provide technical advice, while managing a portfolio of clients
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data, with all deadlines met
  • Support junior staff members with their work papers and mentorship
  • Keep up to date with taxation laws and changes, and partake in training
  • Implement sound administrative and organisational processes
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Requirements:

  • Intermediate Accountants / Senior Accountants
  • CA or CPA-qualified / or near completion
  • Minimum 3 years of Public Practice experience in Australia
