About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead our tailings and mine waste management efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and overseeing projects related to tailings and mine waste in line with industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Technical leadership and project coordination for tailings and mine waste designs
  • Compliance oversight and associated approvals support
  • Development of scopes of work and designs in compliance with regulatory expectations and internal guidelines
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in tailings management, preferably with a background in tailings design consultancy
  • Extensive knowledge of TSF design, construction, and operation
  • Understanding of soil mechanics from a dam safety perspective and expertise in safe operation and monitoring of TSFs
