We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Hitachi Construction Machinery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of mining and construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, maintain, and repair mining and construction equipment to customer specifications.
- Provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance services in a professional and timely manner.
- Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure.
- Prepare and test pre-delivery inspections of new equipment.
- Ensure all work carried out is performed in a safe manner.
- Complete and submit all relevant paperwork and reports.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards.
- A relevant Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered.
- Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
- High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regarded.
- A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles.
- Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM.
- A rewarding Base Salary + Super.
