Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Educator to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children.

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging play-based learning activities for children aged 6 months to 5 years old. You will foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes teamwork and respect for diversity.

You will also be required to observe and assess the development and progress of each child, and communicate with parents and colleagues about individual needs and achievements.

Maintaining a clean and organised room, including managing materials and supplies, is also an essential part of this role.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all policies and procedures, is paramount.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum ACECQA approved Certificate 3 or Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education and care (or equivalent).
  • An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Proven sector experience within an early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
