About the Role

We seek an experienced General Practitioner to provide primary medical care and support to Defence Members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports their health and wellbeing pre and post deployments.
  • Offer medical technical advice to senior Commanding Officers and Health Centre Managers.

About You

You will be an accomplished medical professional with solid foundations as a General Practitioner. Your passion for delivering exceptional medical services is at the heart of everything you do.


Requirements:
  • Hold current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
  • Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine OR Vocational Registration.
  • Have minimum 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • Recently participated in Continuous Professional Development activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Possess Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
