Cyber Security Threat Hunting Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security professional to join our dynamic team responsible for safeguarding global networks from malicious actors.

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Threat Hunter, you will be part of a high-impact team, leveraging threat intelligence and analytical skills to proactively detect and respond to threats. You'll play a key role in developing detection tools, refining hypotheses based on emerging threats, and enhancing cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive threat hunts across enterprise networks to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Leverage Cyber Threat Intelligence to support hunt activities and stay ahead of evolving threats.
  • Develop and maintain threat detection tools, dashboards, and custom use cases to optimize security posture.
  • Analyse logs and security events to identify anomalous activity and inform incident response strategies.
  • Recommend security enhancements and countermeasures to protect against emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and best practices, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to cybersecurity.
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Cyber Security Incident Response or Threat Hunting.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
  • Experience using the MITRE ATT&CK framework to inform threat hunting and incident response efforts.
  • Strong skills in designing and testing detection use cases to optimise security effectiveness.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Well-developed technical writing abilities to create clear and concise documentation.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical field.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, Microsoft, or Splunk.
  • NV2 or higher clearance (or ability to obtain).
