About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Habit Coach to join our team at Everyday Independence. As a Habit Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to develop greater independence and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Support NDIS participants in Maitland and surrounding areas.
- Work at participant's home or a community location, requiring travel to/from sessions.
- Support participants across all ages and stages of life.
- Implement therapy plans provided by primary therapists, enabling participants to reach their full potential.
- Studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year).
- Alternatively, completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification, with demonstrated experience in a similar position.
- Consistent and ongoing availability to work, Monday to Friday 7am – 7pm.
- Availability to support participants during their afternoon routines (3:30pm – 6:30pm) as this is the most highly requested time for Habit Coach sessions.
- Ability to travel to regional/surrounding areas.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
- Maintain clear focus on the goals and outcomes of our participants.
- Act professionally and follow company protocol.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Demonstrated passion for working within the disability sector and making a difference in people's lives.
- A valid Australian drivers license and access to your own vehicle.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Working with Childrens Check.
