HCI Infrastructure Specialist Role Overview

The HCI Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting VMware and Nutanix Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions, as well as managing and patching Microsoft OS and product-based Enterprise.

This role requires strong knowledge of VMware, Microsoft WDS and WSUS, and Microsoft Active Directory, with experience working in Defence as a Nutanix HCI Infrastructure Specialist.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and building VMware and Nutanix HCI solutions
  • Managing and patching Microsoft OS and product-based Enterprise
  • Assisting with development and build defect remediation
  • Developing and maintaining automated test scripts
  • Creating and peer reviewing Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs), build guides, and related artefacts

The successful candidate will have a minimum NV2 security clearance and be an Australian citizen, possessing strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
