We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mining Engineering Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mine planning, with experience in tailings planning and integrated mine closure planning.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and contribute to the development of mine plans, schedules, and costs. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement mine planning strategies, incorporating advanced understanding of mining engineering principles.
  • Support the project management team by providing technical input and oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Mining, Civil, or Geological Engineering is essential.
  • Advanced skills in mine planning software, such as Hexagon MinePlan and/or Deswik.CAD.
  • Critical thinking skills and leadership abilities at both strategic and tactical levels.
