About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Panel Beater to join our team at AMA GROUP AUSTRALIA. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship, ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

This is a full-time position that requires a Trade qualified Panel Beater with previous experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check received parts are correct and for defects
  • Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
  • Label and store parts
  • Notate broken parts and extra repairs and submit to Estimator as requested
  • Check new parts are correct and not damaged and communicate defects to Parts Manager/Production Manager
  • Colour mix and match vehicle after vehicle has been prepared and is scheduled for painting
  • Build and maintain colour library
  • Prep, prime and paint vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
  • Buff and denib vehicle
  • Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
  • Reassemble vehicle
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
  • Clean workbay and workshop areas
  • Coach apprentices when required
  • Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
  • Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE
Requirements:
  • AQF Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years experience

  • You are reliable, punctual, and able to meet strict deadlines
