Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our dynamic team as a Biological Specimen Collector.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in various areas, including Inpatients and Outpatients.

The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting blood samples for pathological testing, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and teams.

The role requires a Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology Collection, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to professional conduct.

The position also involves commuting between The Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham Hospitals, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect biological specimens from patients in various settings, ensuring high-quality samples for pathological testing.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless sample collection and processing.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology Collection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
