Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Learning Support Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting students with special educational needs
  • Collaborating with parents, colleagues, and external providers
  • Delivering intervention and teaching programs
  • Working collaboratively with other Learning Support personnel
  • Contributing to staff professional development and parent education programs
  • Liaising with relevant schools during transition periods

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
  • Experience working with students with disability (K-6)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and external stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering professional learning for staff and parents
  • Ability to effectively gather and utilise assessment data

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher or approved three-year trained due to significant prior experience
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education and/or special education experience
  • Active NESA Accreditation
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check number
