About Our Team

ClearCompany's Section, as part of the Chief Medical Officer Branch (CMOB), consists of doctors, registered nurses, psychologists, and allied health professionals predominantly in the areas of staff health and wellbeing, immigration and detention, but may also extend to various other topics given the breadth of the Home Affairs portfolio.

The Biopsychosocial Risk Program

The Biopsychosocial Risk Program is an integrated, clinically underpinned best practice approach to identifying and addressing key demands and health-related risks inherent in high-risk roles. It allows for a detailed understanding of the dimensions of the demands of a role, related health risks, and the development of comprehensive mitigation strategies to address those risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct task analyses for high-risk roles in collaboration with other clinical team members.
  • Where required, conduct physical inspections of the work environment.
  • Co-facilitate workshops with the business area, staff currently working in the role, and clinicians for the purpose of developing biopsychosocial job profiles.
  • Develop recommended biopsychosocial job profiles for high-risk roles which incorporate job demands, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support and assist with the design, development, and implementation of products and services that improve staff performance, engagement, and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Possession of a degree in psychology and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (mandatory).
  • Qualifications and/or experience in public health (desirable).
  • Qualifications and/or experience in occupational health (desirable).
