The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Controller to oversee the safe movement of traffic and pedestrians on construction sites. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate traffic management plans and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Direct traffic flow to minimize congestion and ensure pedestrian safety through effective communication with site personnel and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control traffic signals and signs to maintain optimal traffic flow and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Maintain accurate records of traffic movements and incidents to inform decision-making and improve site operations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position, preferably in asphalt works or a related field.
  • Prior experience in managing traffic flow and ensuring safety protocols are in place.
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
  • Holding a valid driver's license and Safety Construction Induction Card (White Card) is essential.
