Job Title: Principal Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast office. As a key member of our Engineering and Design team, you will be responsible for leading project delivery teams and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver projects from due diligence through to development application, co-ordination of designs and contract administration
  • Negotiate with stakeholders (clients, Authorities, other consultants etc) in relation to project deliverables (approvals, applications, contractual matters) to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Develop relationships with potential clients and improve/maintain existing client relationships
  • Assist Principal Engineers with forecasted workloads to meet project deliverables
  • Contribute to sustainable profit generation and growth
  • Manage commercial risk and demonstrate responsible judgement
  • Recruit, manage, train and mentor staff
  • Manage financial targets including budgets, profitability etc

Requirements:

  • Proven experience planning and managing projects through involvement in all stages of project delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Experience budgeting, commercial acumen, and risk management
  • High level industry awareness and engagement
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • REPQ certification desirable
