Job Title:

Building Surveyor

Job Description:

The Building Surveyor will provide professional support to Senior Building Surveyors in delivering a customer-centric and responsive building surveying service to the community.

Key tasks include exercising certifying authority and principal certifying authority roles, assessing development applications, carrying out critical stage inspections, reviewing and approving correspondence and applications.

  • Exercise delegated Building Surveying regulatory functions and duties associated with buildings & structures (all classes under the National Construction Code)
  • Determine applications for Part 6 Building and Subdivision Certification Applications
  • Carry out critical stage inspections of buildings and structures

Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and maintain high standards of work.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the National Construction Code, strong customer service skills, and Class C Driver's Licence.

Experience working with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

National Construction Code Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the National Construction Code is required to exercise certifying authority and principal certifying authority roles.

Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills are essential for providing a customer-centric service.

Driver's Licence: A Class C Driver's Licence is required for this role.
