Housekeeping Professional

We are seeking a skilled Housekeeping Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.

  • Job Responsibilities

  • Dusts furniture, tables, window ledges, lights, beds, high pipes, and other dusting surfaces regularly to maintain cleanliness and organization.

  • Empties and cleans waste cans and replaces liners as needed to ensure a hygienic environment.

  • Cleans and polishes tables, fixtures, furnishings, and woodwork to maintain a high level of quality and appearance.

  • Cleans bathroom sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, and floors thoroughly, and polishes chrome bathroom fixtures to ensure they sparkle.

  • Cleans windows and mirrors in bathrooms, entrance/exit ways, patio doors, and other areas to ensure maximum visibility.

  • Cleans all floors and baseboards by disinfecting, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, waxing, buffing, and other methods to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

  • Vacuums carpets and carpeted stairways to remove dirt, dust, and debris.

  • Cleans walls and ceilings by wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, and other methods to maintain a clean and attractive appearance.

  • Maintains a clean and organized work area, including carts, cars, closets, and equipment, to ensure efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensures an adequate supply of housekeeping and cleaning materials are maintained at all times.

  • Quality Assurance

  • Ensures established quality assurance, infection control, and universal precaution practices are followed when performing housekeeping duties.

  • Reports any damage or repairs to facilities, supplies, or equipment to the supervisor.

  • Provides regular feedback and suggestions to improve departmental operations and quality.

  • Attends all-employee and departmental meetings and training sessions as scheduled or directed.

  • Customer Relations

  • Listens to and responds to resident, patient, and staff needs in a prompt and professional manner.

  • Honors resident and patient personal and property rights when performing housekeeping duties.

  • Administration

  • Maintains accurate records through use of computers and/or documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

  • Tenth grade education required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • One year of housekeeping experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

  • Knowledge of cleaning and general housekeeping methods and equipment preferred.

  • Familiarity with care of various types of floors and respective cleaning materials and equipment preferred.
