A key role exists for an experienced crop coordinator who can effectively manage and oversee machinery activities across broadacre cropping operations.
This challenging position requires a high degree of initiative and self-motivation, as well as strong leadership skills to train and mentor new staff members on machinery operations.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of dryland winter crops and experience in operating large-scale cropping plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the planning and execution of crop management activities to maximize efficiency.
- Train and supervise new staff members on safety protocols and best practices for machinery operation.
- Operate farm equipment for tasks such as spraying, paddock preparation, planting, spreading, cartage, and harvest.
- Collaborate with external parties, including contractors and delivery drivers, to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in senior farm hand or leading hand roles, with a focus on crop coordination and machinery operation.
- Obtained HR license and sound knowledge of growing dryland winter crops.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new practices and technologies while working in a team environment.
- High level of initiative and self-motivation, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
