Project Manager - Utilities

We are seeking an experienced utilities professional to lead the coordination and delivery of critical utility works, including design, relocation, and installation of water, sewer, stormwater, gas, power, and telecommunications infrastructure.

This role suits a seasoned engineer confident in navigating service authority approvals and technical complexities of live relocations in brownfield environments. You will be integral to driving program outcomes while maintaining safety, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead utilities construction delivery, including water, sewer, gas, power, and telecoms
  • Liaise with service authorities to manage design approvals and relocations
  • Manage subcontractors, field crews, and utility interfaces onsite
  • Oversee productivity tracking, reporting, and program alignment
  • Assist in preparing site forecasts, cost control, variations, and claims
  • Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring compliance and quality standards
  • Ensure all work aligns with HSEQ and environmental standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong utilities delivery experience on civil infrastructure projects (Essential)
  • Knowledge of authority approval processes and service coordination
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce SWMS and ITPs
  • Experience working on State Authority or D&C projects
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in systems like Envision, Viewpoint, and MS Suite
  • Current driver's license
