Senior Employment Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to join our esteemed practice in Brisbane. This is an exceptional chance for an experienced attorney to elevate their career and make a substantial contribution to our team.

About the Position
  • Provide expert advice to clients on employment matters, including disciplinary procedures, workforce management strategies, and industrial disputes;
  • Represent clients in various tribunals and conduct thorough investigations into allegations of misconduct, corruption, and code of conduct breaches;
  • Prepare show cause letters and decisions in discipline matters, and responses to employee grievances;
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and presentations to clients and industry events on essential topics, such as bullying, sexual harassment, and workplace health and safety;
  • Offer counsel to client's executive teams, HR, and legal departments on performance management and dismissal processes, ill and injured employees, industrial instrument interpretation, liability for unpaid wages and entitlements, and other industrial relations matters.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience from a reputable firm and/or in-house team;
  • Experience representing State government and local government clients will be highly regarded;
  • Strong relationships with clients and industry experts;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
