Regional Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Mental Health Nurse Specialist to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive team environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health nursing and a strong clinical and risk management skillset.
  • They will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, support patients and families in decision-making, advocacy, and discharge planning, and supervise and mentor junior nurses where required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.
  • Work effectively within a team environment to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to junior nurses and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of mental health policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in mental health nursing.
  • Strong clinical and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
