The Role

Skilled Medical is seeking an experienced Unaccredited Registrar to join the ACT Hospital's HITH multi-disciplinary team on a full-time basis. As the unaccredited registrar, you will work closely with consultants and apply your medical knowledge and experience in clinical diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients.

You will provide clinical support to all staff members of the HITH Service, including junior medical staff and nursing staff. Effective communication with patients, hospital staff, medical colleagues, general practitioners, and community care providers is crucial to ensure the best provision of care and education.

You will be responsible for updating medical records and ensuring cost-effective use of hospital resources in collaboration with senior medical staff.

About the Team

The ACT Hospital operates as a level 4 hospital, providing acute and sub-acute services, including community-based care to the residents of Canberra and Southern NSW. The hospital features a range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department, general medicine, surgery, maternity, mental health, and critical care.

**Location**

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you must possess relevant medical qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years' experience working professionally in medicine. Registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is also required. Weekend and after-hours work is necessary, and candidates must be available for such shifts.
