Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Engineering team. As a key people and technical leader, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality software solutions while fostering a culture of accountability, technical, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in modern software development practices, tools, and technologies. They will be able to inspire and motivate a team, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers in pursuit of the team's mission
- Ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Foster a culture of accountability, technical, and operational excellence
- Partner closely with a Product Manager to set the direction for the team and drive delivery outcomes
- Have a strong technical background and be able to roll up their sleeves on delivery tasks when required
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role
- Strong technical background with expertise in modern software development practices, tools, and technologies
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within scope
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and architectures (e.g., AWS, microservices) is a plus
- Good understanding of database technologies
- Experience working with various tools to design, orchestrate, test, build, release & monitor your work
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
