Job Description

As a Biology Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students succeed in their VCE Biology studies. Your main responsibility will be to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students, helping them to understand complex concepts and develop their problem-solving skills.

You will also be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, preparing educational resources, and assessing student progress. Additionally, you may be required to work collaboratively with other tutors and teachers to develop curriculum materials and implement teaching strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and learning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students. You should also be highly organized, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Academic Requirements: A minimum ATAR of 98+, a raw study score of 43+ in VCE Biology, and a first-year Uni Biology knowledge or above.
  • Character Requirements: Honesty and integrity, passion for teaching, high level of empathy, energy and enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, independence and proactiveness, willingness to listen, learn and lead.
