Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Hand/Patient Services Assistant at Strathalbyn Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and welcoming workplace, providing a timely, efficient, and effective catering, cleaning, and laundry service within the health unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality catering service, including food preparation, presentation, and delivery.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and laundry services, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing job rotation through multi-skilling arrangements, including catering assistant duties, delivery, collection, and disposal of linen.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and judgment to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and clients, exercising courtesy and tact.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in providing a catering service or in cleaning in a commercial or health environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and rostering systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
