Seeking Experienced Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice on franchising, commercial law, and employment law. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the legal direction of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage legal administration, including lease and franchise databases, and oversee the ASIC portal.
  • Draft organisational policies and procedures and maintain controlled document registers.
  • Handle high-level complaints and conduct legal investigations.
  • Review agreements such as retail/commercial leases, franchises, services, and supplier agreements.
  • Provide legal advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform various audits, including wage and legal audits.
  • Conduct legal research and support the General Counsel in complex legal matters.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of post-qualification legal experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft clear documentation for a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong legal research skills, particularly in franchising, property, and employment law.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and positive approach to meeting stakeholder needs and supporting organisational change.
  • Superior drafting skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts.
  • Experience with lease management, property law, or franchising is desirable.
