Teaching Science at a Forward-Thinking Institution

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher of Science to lead our educational program.

This is a permanent full-time role that requires the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students in Years 7-9.

Melonba High School is a rapidly growing school located in the new suburb of Melonba near Marsden Park. The school uses an innovative and future-focused educational model, with agile teaching and learning spaces and a focus on student welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching programs and assessment tasks that integrate literacy and numeracy into daily practice
  • Establish strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support student learning and wellbeing
  • Create effective classroom management strategies to enhance student learning and promote high expectations for all students
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment framework
Requirements:
  • Approval to teach SCI Science
  • Approved to Teach CHE Chemistry
  • Approved to teach BIO Biology
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience in a Stage 6 Science course
