Senior Military Workforce Planner

The role of the Workforce Management Officer is a strategic and proactive position that involves developing, managing, and maintaining the regular Australian Defence Force (ADF) workforce and ADF Reserve workforce across Joint Capabilities Group (JCG).
This individual will work closely with the Deputy Director Workgroup to coordinate and submit the annual JCG ADF Reserve bids, manage the budget, and oversee positions across JCG.
The successful candidate will be responsible for solving complex workforce challenges, analyzing workforce data, and implementing operational workforce management activities that align with strategic initiatives in emerging capabilities such as Space, Cyber, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and submit annual JCG ADF Reserve bids
- Manage the JCG ADF Reserve budget
- Oversee positions across JCG
- Solve complex workforce challenges
- Analyze workforce data
- Implement operational workforce management activities
About Our Team:
Joint Capabilities Group provides high-level support to the three-star Group Head, the Chief of Joint Capabilities, by directing and coordinating Group operations across a range of functions. We work closely with Functional Commands within JCG and other Groups and Services within Defence to contribute to JCG and Defence-wide outcomes.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in military workforce management and planning. The successful candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
