As an Employee Relations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting principals and schools within MACS to ensure compliance with legislative and enterprise agreement obligations.

**Job Description**

The Employee Relations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic employee relations advice and support to principals and schools within MACS. Reporting to the General Manager, Employee Relations, this role oversees a team of Advisors and ensures compliance with legislative and enterprise agreement obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coaching the Employee Relations team to deliver high-quality service
  • Providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including enterprise agreements and workplace concerns
  • Building strong relationships with schools and stakeholders to offer strategic guidance and ensure effective consultation
  • Representing MACS in external forums, including industrial tribunals and negotiations

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expert knowledge of employment law and workplace relations legislation
  • Proven experience in policy development and advanced writing skills
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage teams effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
