The Hospital Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This dynamic individual will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital after hours.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to take on a key leadership role and contribute to delivering exceptional support to patients.
As a Hospital Coordinator, you will be tasked with supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards. You will also be required to support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient. This includes coordinating patient admissions and overseeing the safety of all patients and hospital staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
- Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments
- Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
- Coordinating patient admissions
- Overseeing the safety of all patients and hospital staff
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members. A high degree of computer literacy, particularly in MS Office, is also essential.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration is required. Recent management experience at ANUM level or higher is highly desirable.
Tertiary Qualification in a health-related discipline or management is an advantage, as is knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
