Community Liaison Officer

The main focus of this role is to build and maintain positive relationships with community members, promoting a sense of safety and belonging within the housing environment. As a key point of contact, you will welcome residents, their visitors, and service providers, ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the premises.

This position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with tenants and support staff as needed. You will also facilitate referrals to external services, assist in organizing community events, and manage room bookings and access to building amenities.

  • Monitor tenant wellbeing through regular informal engagement and communicate any concerns to support or tenancy staff.
  • Provide phone concierge services, CCTV monitoring, and respond to incidents promptly.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in the homelessness sector, social work, or front-of-house/reception duties (highly desirable).
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize client management systems.
  • Ability to work with women and children with complex needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the values of our organization and mission to end homelessness.
Benefits:
  • $44.37 per hour plus superannuation.
  • 25% casual loading.
