Influenza Laboratory Scientist

As a Full-Time Research Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of respiratory viruses, including influenza, and contribute to the development of new methods and techniques.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of a University BSc or Hons degree in Microbiology/Virology/Pharmaceutical Science (or similar discipline).
  • At least 2 years of laboratory experience.
  • Experience in cell culture, virus isolation, and molecular techniques such as real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing, pyrosequencing, and NGS.
  • Strong molecular biology skills, including PCR, cloning, transformations/transfections, and recombinant protein expression.
