Job Title: Department Leadership Role
Job Description:This is a continuous applicant pool for the position of Head of Department within the North Queensland Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- They will also have the capacity to set high standards for student and staff performance, actively participating in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Furthermore, the candidate will form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Applicants must be current Queensland Government employees to be eligible to apply. The positions may range in duration up to a school semester. This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
