ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Assistant Store Manager at JD Sports, you embody a mindset of innovation and excellence. We pride ourselves on our unique approach, setting trends rather than following them. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to motivate your team and ensure outstanding performance across all areas of the store. You will assist in managing daily operations to meet or exceed financial targets while maintaining visual merchandising standards as per company guidelines. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will be the primary contact for staff and customer inquiries, ensuring that we deliver a world-class shopping experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate sales objectives and KPIs to the team, monitoring progress daily.
- Manage conversion rates, average transaction value, and units per transaction to achieve budget growth.
- Address underperformance promptly to ensure targets are met.
- Support the Store Manager in creating and reviewing staff schedules.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs with the Store Manager and Visual Merchandiser to ensure visual standards are met and attract customers.
- Adapt to evolving processes and procedures in line with JD Sports' rapid growth.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service standards while effectively managing the team.
- Balance multiple priorities, including team management, sales goals, campaign launches, visual merchandising, inventory control, and marketing.
- Delegate tasks to other managers to maintain store operations aligned with company directives.
- Set clear expectations to inspire and motivate your team.
- Train staff on loss prevention procedures, leading by example to ensure compliance.
- Provide regular updates to the Store Manager on operational and team performance, highlighting improvements and achievements.
- Encourage and support your team to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.
