Sr. Civil Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Civil Engineer to join our team at Talesca. As a key member of our Growth Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Business Development and Project Delivery activities.

The successful candidate will oversee the technical, commercial, and planning aspects of renewables balance of plant engineering across all project phases.

You will work closely with various internal departments such as development, pre-construction, construction, procurement, HSE, and external stakeholders like developers, certification companies, contractors, and consultants.

  • Define and validate the scope and design criteria of civil engineering balance of plant engineering required in each project phase.
  • Manage the delivery of renewables projects.
  • Supervise and validate outsourced technical services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams involved in project design.
  • Validate layouts supplied by the Energy Resource team.
  • Define and validate internal and external roads layout and hardstands.
  • Define and supervise topography works.
  • Specify and technically validate hydrological studies and hydraulic calculations.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on electrical infrastructure design solutions.
  • Specify equipment and materials in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate design and technical solutions for interfaces between different consultants and contractors.
  • Manage the engineering schedule of work for multiple projects.
  • Drive risk identification and management of project delivery.
  • Support procurement and tender assessments.
  • Prepare and issue engineering reports and presentations.
  • Design management and coordination of design reviews.
  • Support the engineering aspects of construction delivery.
  • Support the engineering aspects of contract administration.

A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or similar, recognized by Engineers Australia is essential for this role.
