Geotechnical Expertise

We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This role requires the application of geotechnical engineer tasks, but also an expanding knowledge of all elements and disciplines required to design facilities, such as hydrogeology, process, geochemistry, water, civil engineering and social engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design;
  • Geotechnical analyses using various software packages;
  • Understanding of tailing deposition modelling (Muk3D);
  • Geotechnical and environmental site characterisation;
  • Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
  • Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
  • Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field;
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field preferred;
  • Professional registration preferred but not essential;
  • Directly relevant experience in a consulting environment or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 5 to 10+ years of consulting experience operating within a geotechnical practice group;
  • Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software;
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed;
