Job Title:

Housing Support Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Housing Support Coordinator to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals living in 24-hour Supported Independent Living arrangements.

  • You will work closely with clients to encourage independence and decision-making, while providing essential support with daily household tasks and activities.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities, supporting them to live their best lives.
  • Your skills and experience will enable you to effectively manage household operations, including menu planning, shopping, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • You will also assist clients with medical appointments, banking, grocery shopping, and recreational activities, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
  • A key aspect of this role is supervising and mentoring direct support staff, ensuring they receive quality guidance and training.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting systems, monitoring day-to-day activities, and providing timely updates as required.

About You:

  • You have previous hands-on experience working with people with disabilities as a Support Worker, which is essential for this role.
  • Prior management or team-leader experience is highly desirable, demonstrating your ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and are comfortable using various mobility aids and administering medications.
  • A valid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check are necessary for this position, or you must be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccinations are also required.
