Job Title: Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Tasmania. As a Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing transmission line structures, including lattice towers, poles, and substations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop transmission line structures, including lattice towers, poles, and substations
  • Develop conductor loads for transmission and substation structures
  • Analyze lattice towers, pole, and gantry structures
  • Design lattice tower member connections and details
  • Experience in existing tower augmentation and strengthening works for TL upgradation projects
  • Design lattice tower, pole, and substation foundation designs
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • At least ten (10) years experience in structural design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995, and AS 1170
  • Experience in the use of computer design packages, such as PLS Tower and PLS Pole
