Job Description:

The position of Academic Program Lead is a critical role within the college's academic leadership team. As part of this team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Diploma of Health course.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing innovative teaching practices that align with university expectations and achieve successful student outcomes.
  • Overseeing student success, retention, experience, and progression, including teaching students and engaging appropriately qualified staff to deliver the Diploma of Health course.
  • Regularly reviewing course content to ensure units are current and adequate for university studies, including ensuring programs and units are coherent in design, effectively planned, managed, and administered.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A postgraduate qualification cognate to the discipline/units being taught or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant extensive experience.
  • Highly developed knowledge and experience in higher education courses/programs and a proven track record in the development, teaching, and evaluation of programs and resources.
  • Demonstrated planning, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data to predict trends and inform the future direction of the college.
