Position Overview

• We are seeking a dedicated and skilled speech pathologist to fill a Permanent Part-Time position.
• This role will involve rotation through various departments, offering exposure to acute surgical, orthopedic, and medical cases, as well as the inpatient mental health unit.
• Applicants with prior experience are preferred; new graduates are not encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments and provide treatment for inpatients.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation and effective communication.
• Engage in non-clinical responsibilities, including participation in Quality Improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or an equivalent qualification.
• Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Clinical experience in a hospital or aged care setting, particularly with dysphagia knowledge.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with effective time management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team as well as independently.
• Proven track record in implementing quality improvement practices in a clinical setting.
