Job Overview

A prestigious private equity business is seeking a seasoned Financial Control and Improvements Manager to drive process improvements and contribute to the development of a 'best-in-class' accounting function.

The Role
  • We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Control and Improvements Manager to join our team as second in charge to the Head of Finance.
  • This role will involve owning core accounting duties while driving projects that lead to best-in-class finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of 2 Fund Accountants
  • Review of private equity fund accounting
  • Calculation of management fees and performance fees
  • Drafting of financial statements
  • Liaison with external tax advisor and auditors
  • Compliance management for all private equity funds
  • Quarterly investor reporting with the private equity investment team
  • Collaboration with the private equity team
Project Focus:
  • Significant involvement and driving of projects related to improving financial reporting infrastructure
  • Identification, planning, and execution of best-in-class accounting processes
Your Background:
  • Financial Services (funds) experience
  • Strong technical accounting background
  • Professionally qualified as an Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Proven track record and passion for process improvement projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and business partnering skills
  • Adaptability, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
Location & Salary:

Based in Sydney CBD. The salary for this position is estimated to be $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, plus superannuation and bonus potential of up to 30%.
