About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a skilled Senior Project Planner to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our project planning team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated planning processes for assigned projects and bids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded overall master schedules and project schedules to align with client and management expectations.
  • Implement and maintain integrated planning processes and standards.
  • Conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and Earned Value Management (EVM) to ensure project progress and performance.
  • Perform critical path analysis, S-curve, and progress reporting to stakeholders.
  • Support the project team in analyzing scope of work, defining work breakdown structures, and implementing project execution plans.
  • Collaborate with the project controller to manage finance and reporting activities.
  • Deliver project reporting in a timely and reliable manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and self-motivated individual.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in the rail industry is highly regarded.
