We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic apprentice plasterer to join our team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the field of plastering and gain valuable skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install Plasterboard: Install plasterboard on walls and ceilings with precision placement
  • Fitting Plasterboard Sheets: Fix standard plasterboard sheets securely on walls and ceilings
  • Reading Plans: Read and interpret plans to execute tasks accurately
  • Finishing Plasterboard Joins: Achieve seamless finishes on plasterboard joins for a polished look
  • Cutting Cornices: Cut and install cornices to enhance aesthetic appeal
  • Planning Layout: Plan plasterboard layout, incorporating insulation and vapour barriers
  • Measuring and Marking: Measure, mark, cut, and install plasterboard panels securely
  • Attaching Fittings: Attach pre-cast plaster fittings such as cornices, ceiling centres, and more
  • Covering Joints: Cover joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for learning the ins and outs of plastering
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Physical stamina: apprenticeship requires lifting, positioning, and hands-on work
  • A team player: collaboration with experienced plasterers and fellow apprentices
  • A willingness to learn from mentors and adapt to different tasks
  • Basic math skills: necessary for measurements and calculations
  • Safety awareness
  • Solid communication skills and reliability
  • A Construction White Card or ability to obtain one at short notice
  • A current Australian driver's license (minimum provisional) and own reliable transportation
