Senior Associate Corporate M&A Role

As a key member of our top-tier Corporate M&A practice in Brisbane, you will be involved in advising clients on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, joint ventures, restructures, and corporate governance matters.

Job Responsibilities
  • Transaction Advisory: Advise clients on the full spectrum of corporate transactions, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, shareholder agreements, underwriting arrangements, and regulatory filings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
  • Business Development: Support business development initiatives, including client relationship management and thought leadership activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years' post-admission experience in corporate law, preferably gained at a top-tier or leading national/international firm.
  • Technical Skills: Strong experience advising on M&A, equity capital markets, and foreign investment matters.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with sound commercial judgment.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to manage complex matters with autonomy and professionalism.
  • Cultural Fit: A collaborative, client-focused mindset with enthusiasm for mentoring and contributing to a high-performing team.
