We are seeking a skilled and experienced financial coordinator to lead and support a range of financial services in asset accounting and financial reporting. About the Role- General Financial Reporting: We require the successful candidate to prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards.
- Asset Accounting: Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing asset accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
- Statutory Reporting: We need someone who can prepare statutory reports, such as annual returns, tax returns, and other regulatory submissions.
- Manage Inventory Systems: The successful candidate will oversee the management of inventory systems, ensuring that stock levels are accurately recorded and managed.
- Oversee General Taxation Activities: Our team requires someone who can manage general taxation activities, including preparing tax returns and liaising with external auditors.
- Monitor Council Treasury: We need someone who can monitor council treasury activities, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Our ideal candidate will develop and implement policies related to financial management, ensuring that they are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist Internal and External Auditors: The successful candidate will provide assistance to internal and external auditors, ensuring that audits are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar finance role.
- Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements.
- Knowledge of accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of financial systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, problem solve and contribute to a highly collaborative environment.
- Leadership experience would be highly regarded, but if you bring strong technical skills and a people-focused approach, we're open to supporting your leadership growth.
