As a Systems (Presales) Engineer, you will deliver technical expertise and support throughout your client's zero trust journey. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting technical solutions that secure essential business objectives. You will advocate for our industry leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the cybersecurity partner of choice for your clients.

- Surpassing sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans that focus on cross-platform solutions.
- Conducting thorough discovery to comprehend and articulate the critical technical, operational, and commercial needs of your prospects and clients.
- Designing and implementing compelling technical and business-oriented solutions that promote adoption and growth post-sale across the portfolio.
- Exhibiting strong communication abilities and the capacity to influence through effective presentations, customer-specific demonstrations, technical engagements, and workshops.
- Coordinating supporting resources to ensure a unified approach that reflects a cohesive strategy.
- Advocating for comprehensive solutions that incorporate Palo Alto Networks and/or partner professional services to ensure clients achieve business value promptly.
- Grasping the competitive landscape and effectively distinguishing our leadership.
- Continuously enhancing your technical and professional skills to amplify your contributions to customer success while actively engaging within the Systems Engineering community and at industry events.
Required Qualifications
Your Background
- Proficiency in data networking.
- Experience in delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and influence new business initiatives.
- Ability to influence and secure buy-in from key stakeholders, whether in a customer-facing or internal capacity - prior experience in a presales environment is advantageous.
- Expertise in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
- Familiarity with selling, implementing, or managing SaaS/SASE/cloud/managed/on-premises offerings is beneficial.
- Collaboration with Customer Support teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions.
- Experience in complex sales involving lengthy processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is preferred.
