High-Voltage Network Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Voltage Network Engineer to join our team at Western Power's South Metro Depot. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and constructing the transmission and/or distribution electricity network.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Rectifying faults promptly and isolating the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimize customer impact.
  • Executing programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the network.
  • Constructing network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards.

As a High-Voltage Network Engineer, you will be required to work in a team environment to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our services.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead (essential)
  • Valid WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence
  • Valid WA 'HR' Class Drivers Licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network
  • HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential
  • Glove and Barrier is highly regarded but not essential
