Role Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aged Care Specialist to join our team at KinCare. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our elderly customers by providing exceptional support and care in their own homes.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Preparing and assisting with meals, as well as accompanying customers on shopping trips.
  • Providing emotional support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Administering personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, while also assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support to customers, helping them to cope with the challenges of aging.
  • Accompanying customers to appointments and providing complex care for those with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle - travel is part of the role.
  • The ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems while knowing when to ask for support.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our customers.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
