Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Midwife to provide comprehensive care in our maternity ward. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing various aspects of maternity care, including birth suite operations, pain management, and neonatal care.

About the Role

This contract involves 12-hour shifts and requires proficiency in several specialized areas. Duties include:

  • Providing antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to mothers and babies.
  • Managing and assisting in the birth suite, supporting women through labor and delivery.
  • Administering and monitoring epidural analgesia and managing pain relief for laboring patients.
  • Performing and overseeing neonatal resuscitation and providing advanced neonatal care as needed.
  • Conducting IV cannulation and managing intravenous therapy.
  • Ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AHPRA registration (must be current)
  • Australian working rights
  • Australian Immunisation History
  • National Police Check
  • Experience in maternity care, including birth suite management and neonatal care.
  • Competency in administering epidurals and managing pain relief.
  • Proficiency in IV cannulation and advanced neonatal resuscitation (NeoResus).
